Lawmakers Join as Cosponsors of Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform Act
Running On Air Inc. announced that Representatives Blake Moore (Utah), Maxine Dexter (Oregon), Timothy Kennedy (New York), and Josh Riley (New York) have signed on as cosponsors of the Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform (SOAR) Act.
The bipartisan legislation was reintroduced on April 10, 2025, in both chambers of Congress. In the House, H.R.2902 was introduced by Representative David Valadao of California and cosponsored by Representative Brownley of California. In the Senate, S.1406 was introduced by Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, and cosponsored by Mark Warner of Virginia, and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota.
The SOAR Act aims to improve access to supplemental oxygen for individuals who depend on it for mobility, health, and quality of life. Advocates say the growing list of cosponsors reflects increasing bipartisan recognition of the challenges faced by oxygen users.
Running On Air Inc. encouraged the public to contact their members of Congress to thank current cosponsors or urge additional lawmakers to cosponsor the bill. More information about the legislation and advocacy efforts is available at runningonair.org.
