Conference Highlights Series Continues with ATS and World Bronchiectasis Conference Updates

Running on Air Foundation is pleased to announce three upcoming webinars as part of its 2026 Conference Highlights Series (CHS). This seven-part educational series features leading experts in bronchiectasis and NTM who provide research highlights and breaking news from major international respiratory conferences throughout the year. The series is designed to keep patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and advocates informed about the latest advances in respiratory medicine, bronchiectasis, NTM, PCD, and related lung diseases.

The Conference Highlights Series includes updates from the North American Bronchiectasis and NTM Conference, Respiratory Infections Conference, ATS Conference, World Bronchiectasis Conference, PCD Conference, European Respiratory Society Conference, and CHEST Conference. Through these webinars, attendees gain access to expert analysis and discussion of emerging research, clinical developments, and evolving treatment approaches presented by leading specialists from around the world.

The next webinar in the series will take place on June 2 at 12:30 p.m. ET and will feature James D. Chalmers discussing the bronchiectasis, NTM, and PCD highlights from the American Thoracic Society International Conference 2026, held in Orlando from May 15–20. Dr. Chalmers will review important research findings and conference updates, including potential supplemental oxygen developments presented during the meeting. On July 1 at 2:00 p.m. ET, Anne O’Donnell from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital will present highlights from the World Bronchiectasis Conference 2026. This international conference continues to grow each year and brings together leading physicians and researchers focused on bronchiectasis research and patient care. Dr. O’Donnell will share key findings and notable developments discussed during the meeting, offering attendees insight into the latest advancements in the field. Registration here.

The final upcoming webinar in this announcement will be held on July 2 at 2:00 p.m. ET and will feature PJ McShane from the National Institutes of Health. Dr. McShane will provide a deeper discussion on the diversity and heterogeneity of bronchiectasis, including topics presented at the World Bronchiectasis Conference such as bronchiectasis in interstitial lung disease and disease heterogeneity. As research in bronchiectasis continues to expand, recognition of the condition’s complexity and its relationship to other lung diseases has become increasingly important in both diagnosis and treatment.
