Running On Air posted the recording of the webinar with Dr. Anne O’Donnell discussing Dipeptidyl Peptidase 1 (DPP-1) Inhibitors for Bronchiectasis – Overview and Q & A. In partnership with NTMir, this webinar discussed the latest research into reducing inflammation in Bronchiectasis, upcoming trials, and the first FDA-approved non-Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Bronchiectasis treatment, Brinsupri, also known as Brensocatib.
Dr. O’Donnell presents the research from the trials, and shares the favorable findings and potential side effects. She then gives examples of patients and their presentations and what her consideration of using the newly approved drug would be in each scenario.
She also shares how people with certain other health issues were excluded from the studies, making it difficult to know if the new treatment would be helpful.
At the conclusion, she answers questions posed by the webinar participants.
