Additional Lawmakers Join as Co-Sponsors of the Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform (SOAR) Act

Running On Air Inc. announced that Representative Burgess Owens (Utah), Senator Shelley Moore Capito (West Virginia), and Representative Gus Bilirakis (Florida) have joined as new co-sponsors of the Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform (SOAR) Act.

The bipartisan legislation was reintroduced on April 10, 2025, in both chambers of Congress. In the House, H.R.2902 was introduced by Representative David Valadao (California) and co-sponsored by Representative Julia Brownley (California). In the Senate, S.1406 was introduced by Senators Bill Cassidy (Louisiana), Mark Warner (Virginia), and Amy Klobuchar (Minnesota).

The SOAR Act seeks to improve access to supplemental oxygen for individuals who depend on it for their health, mobility, and quality of life. Advocates say the addition of new co-sponsors from both parties and across multiple states demonstrates growing support for addressing the challenges faced by oxygen users.

Running On Air Inc. encourages the public to contact their members of Congress to thank those who have already co-sponsored the legislation or to ask others to add their support. More information about the bill and ongoing advocacy efforts is available at runningonair.org.
